The Nest Chapter: A Sample

Raunst waived her off, intent on his quest.  Whether or not the medallion rested within these tattered walls made no difference to him.  He was consumed with a desire to hunt.  Like a bloodhound on the chase he could almost smell it.  There was something here, it excited him, deep in the pitfalls of his own mind.  In the darkest places an illumination was shining back at him.  An image emerged before him, a man.  Raunst could no longer place himself in a dream or reality.  He stood from his place on the floor and extended a hand out to touch the figure in front of him.  The stranger in a light suit had a serene look on his face and didn’t rush to speak.

Raunst had never met this man before, but he could feel that the two were not strangers.

the next midnight

In the absence of time to really work on my craft (read: day job, very thankful), I do find ways to get a little done. Light sleep isn't for everyone, but it works for me. Working into the night offers some solitude, some hesitation, a small amount of dancing and shadow boxing, and eventually, some written word. This is a good mix of mojo and it makes for painfully good art. At least in my view.
I look foward to delivering more to share. Maybe a cut of a work in progress? To be continued...enjoy the meantime.

March Project Update

Of course, I should, once in a while, provide a "was happinin nao" type post. Avid fans and newcomers alike should be in the know.

I have accepted the ambitious challenge of publishing the 2nd Secret of the Demon story. Writing it, as always, is manageable. It's the self editing that puts me through the wringer. 22000 words also makes this the largest effort to date, and sans a novel release, (dream big, no?) it will likely be the largest of the year, too.

Exciting and humbling all at the same time.

a few lost along the way

I have had, in my time, many experiences of losing things. In the real world much that is lost can be found. But the digital world is a cruel mistress, a few lost ones and zeros lead to disaster. Several written works have been consumed in such a way, media failure, death of a pc, pc / mac conversion failure.
Such if the life of a digital bit. At any moment several conditions may interrupt your very existence. Here's to you, lost data!

What's up these United States?

There is a place in my heart for the youths.  People that are my younger.  But writing for them can be a challenge.  What do you tell children, in the vein of entertainment, that is a good thing to, say, sell?

Working this week on wrapping for the for submission to a contest.  Wish me luck, don't be surprised if I am a little light on the updates...

tbh, idk

February brings about another light release on the schedule. Working on getting out a short teleplay and all the formatting and whatnot posted here soon. March is another story. The next logical choice both by size and stage in developement is part 2...but there is some vintage work in the back closet that may yet become the focus.
